Autumn Sangria is the perfect combination of everything we love about fall – perfectly ripe fruit, warm cinnamon, and sweet cider. Plus its mixed with an amazing combination of brandy and white wine, making it a fantastic adult beverage!
I cannot believe how amazing and lovely this sangria turned out! I have never been a fan of sangria, but that is because I only knew of the super sweet and overly alcoholic versions made with cheap wine and more resembled a frat party”jungle juice” than a sophisticated adult drink. Not that overly alcoholic drinks are a bad thing, but its nice to be able to enjoy more than one glass of something without finding yourself laying on the floor with some person you have barely met singing “Yo Ho Ho and a Bottle of Rum”. Enter adult-hood.
This version is not that at all. Combining a nice dry white wine and apple cider makes for a gorgeous but not too sweet libation. Loaded with fall’s perfectly ripe apples, pears, and cranberries and spiked with brandy and a few cinnamon sticks, this is pretty much amazing and bursting with flavor. Its smooth and lovely and it goes down super easy. But it also won’t leave you singing pirate songs, either.

- 1 bottle of dry white wine – Pino Grigio or Chardonnay OR red wine
- 4 cups fresh apple cider
- 1 apple, cored and chopped
- 1 pear, cored and chopped
- 1 orange, peeled, and chopped
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 1/2 cup Brandy OR Vanilla Vodka
- 1 cup club soda
- 1/2 cup fresh cranberries
Combine all ingredients (except for the club soda) in a large pitcher.
Cover with plastic wrap, place in the fridge and allow to sit for at least 4 hours (the longer it sits, the better it gets!).
Right before serving, add the club soda and stir.
