Mediterranean Hummus

Homemade hummus is so good and so easy, you will soon forget you can even buy it at the store! This classic Mediterranean hummus is creamy, flavorful, and the perfect snack for your family.

Canned Chickpeas

Key Ingredient

1. Drain and rinse chickpeas. Simmer in fresh water for 20 minutes, then add baking soda and let sit for 10 minutes. Strain and rinse.

PREP CHICKPEAS

2. Place the lemon juice, garlic, and salt in the food processor and blend until it is almost a paste. Allow the mixture to sit for about 5 minutes to let the garlic mellow in the lemon juice.

COMBINE & BLEND

3. Add the tahini sauce to the food processor and blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy, about 5 minutes. Scrape down the sides if needed and continue blending to make it all the same texture.
