Instant Pot wild rice is a perfect side dish to serve at dinner. Perfectly cooked wild rice with a sweet and nutty flavor, chewy texture, and almost no work.
Quickly rinse off the rice with cold water in a colander.
Add rice and broth to the insert pan, making sure that the outside of the pan has no water on it. Add in the salt and bay leaf.
Add the insert to the pressure cooker and lock the lid in place.
Make sure the pressure valve is sealed.
Pressure cook on high for 28 minutes. It will take about 8 minutes for the pot to come to full pressure.
Allow to naturally release pressure for 10 minutes after it is done cooking.
Carefully quick release the remaining pressure. Note that there will be some liquid in the bottom of the pan, and this part of cooking wild rice. Use a slotted spoon to scoop out and serve the wild rice from the pan.
