Ingredients
8
oz
dried Medjol dates
pitted
12
oz
maple bacon
8
oz
goat cheese
optional
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375.
If the dates are not pre-pitted, you will need to carefully slice into the date to remove the pit. Do not cut all the way through.
Optional: Stuff each date with goat cheese.
Cut the bacon strips in half.
Wrap each half around a date and secure with toothpick.
Place on a baking sheet (use one with rims to catch the bacon grease) lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 15 minutes, turning the dates over halfway through, or until the bacon is golden brown.
Cool 5-10 minutes.
Enjoy!
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in the fridge and reheated in the microwave, although they won't have the same texture.
