Ingredients

large shallot
minced

of garlic

GOOD quality marinara sauce

fresh chopped basil

fresh or frozen cheese tortellini
or mini ravioli
Instructions
In a large soup pot over medium heat, melt the butter and sautee the shallots 3-4 minutes.
Season them with salt and pepper and then add the garlic and sauté for 30 more seconds.
Add the chicken broth, marinara, and fresh basil.
Turn the heat up to high and bring to a boil.
Carefully add the tortellini to the boiling soup.
Cover with a lid, turn down to medium and summer until the pasta is cooked (about 10-12 minutes).
