Whipped rosemary honey butter is an easy and simple way to add more flavor to your meals. Softened butter is whipped with plenty of honey, fresh rosemary, a spoonful of powdered sugar and a pinch of salt.

Ingredients needed:

You only need a few items to make this delicious butter recipe.

  • Butter – Use a good quality fresh unsalted butter. Using a salted butter will affect the flavor of your finished recipe since different brands use different amounts of salt, so omit the salt if you use it. I would not recommend using margarine because it won’t have the same flavor or texture. The butter should be room temperature.
  • Honey – I recommend using a mild honey for this, like a clover honey. Any honey with a strong natural flavor can alter the flavor of the finished recipe.
  • Rosemary – You will want to use fresh rosemary here, dried will not give you the right flavor and will add crunchy bits to your butter.
  • Powdered Sugar – This acts as a stabilizer for the butter and helps it to keep the soft whipped texture without turning runny, and helps sweeten it a little.
  • Salt – The salt helps balance the flavors and bring out more of the sweetness of the honey and sugar. If you use salted butter in this recipe, leave the salt out of the recipe when you initially whip it – then taste and season accordingly.
